		<description>The text reminds me of how Amy has text in her work too.  I'm glad you fixed the formatting.  Funny to read this post now, instead of before.  I just read a bunch of haikus (Basho and (I'm blanking on the name) translated by Robert Haas, they really are beautiful).  Some of the same symbol stuff happens there as medieval art, there were images that were coded to stand for entire dialogs.  We lack that now, or maybe our language isn't as complex as the symbols they were using in the original text. Here, I'm so steeped in academia, digging into poems and breaking open the allusions, that it's strange to come to class and have students who don't know the mythology behind the Lotus-Eaters and just read right past it.</description>
